My name is Krista OβDea and I am a Fit for Birth Prenatal and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist, Diastasis Core Consultant, Flexibility Specialist, and Holistic Fertility & Pregnancy Safe Coach. Additionally, I am a certified holistic doula, midwifery student, paramedic, and the founder of Artemis Doula Services, allowing me to bring an even deeper level of support to each of my clients. As an avid advocate for pregnant and postpartum women, I have found that many women face difficulty in finding help to assist with discomfort, chronic pain, and problems during pregnancy and well into the postpartum. More often than not, their complaints fall on deaf ears and women are left struggling without the information, education, or resources to assist them.
The precious time of pregnancy and postpartum should be one of nurturing and support. My goal is to offer that to all women, including those who have been postpartum for 10, 20, or 30 years! Since my training is corrective exercise based, I offer women a solution for common problems experienced during pregnancy and postpartum such as diastasis recti, lower back pain, urinary incontinence, organ prolapse, neck pain, pelvic pain, an unsupportive feeling in the hip girdle or abdomen, a general feeling of looseness or weakness, and sciatica to name a few.
While some exercises or fitness routines may be causing even more pain or discomfort instead of making you feel better, my training is thoughtful, goal-driven, and safe for all women at all stages of their life. I enjoy assisting women in improving their daily life through intentional, corrective-based exercises with a strong focus on the inner abdominal core unit (the diaphragm, pelvic floor, and transverse abdominals). By building a strong foundation, prenatal, postpartum, and all women no matter their age or years since their last child, can stay active and live a life free of pain and discomfort.
I strive to remind women that it is possible to feel great in your body! It is possible to do all the things you love to do during and after pregnancy! It is possible to have a fully functional body that feels supportive and strong. Even as a woman and mother, you are still very much an individual deserving to feel comfortable and confident in your body and in your abilities. You are a priority and so is your health, happiness, and well-being. I would be honored to assist you along this path to rediscovering your strength and power!
